The Sports Official is responsible for officiating youth and / or adult sports programs. Sports Officials are the front-line staff in working directly with coaches and program participants in delivering high quality customer service through the District’s sports programs. Sports Officials receive guidance and supervision from the Programs and Special Events Coordinator or designated Site Supervisor and at times the District Executive Director. The position is expected to work Saturdays during the youth sports seasons, and additionally during the evening times during the baseball and softball seasons.
To become a Sports Official with The Elizabeth Park & Recreation District you must complete Sports Official Training. Please contact Park Office for information about the next Training Session.
Do you have an expertise in a particular recreational or leisure activity that you would like to share with the community? The District is currently seeking individuals who can teach / instruct any of a variety of activities such as art, music, dance, and other areas that may be of interest to the Elizabeth Community. We hire summer seasonal Park Technicians to assist with park maintenance operations including mowing, weed trimming, landscaping, preparing athletic fields, and light trades work. Must be at least 16 years of age. Must be willing to work varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Applications accepted beginning in April.
